Positive: There’s no better location to be staying in taman negara, the hostel is right in front of the river where everything is starting and where all the restaurants and bars are. Rooms and toilets are clean, beds with curtains and airco. It’s a small but cosy hostel with an outside common area where you can get beers and other drinks. The vibe was great, because is pretty small you can to know people more quickly and we met some great friends. The best person we met was the owner of the hostel, he wants that his guests have the best experience possible. He also organises tours in the park and I would definitely recommend booking through him! He keeps the groups smaller so that everyone can enjoy it and follow the guides really well. If you book your tours with the big companies (from the bus travel) you’ll be stuck in a group with 20+ people not being able to follow what the guides says. He has some great stories too, just ask him about the European he found in the middle of the jungle 😉 The place to be in taman negara! 100% recommended
