Welcome to the Garden Suite!
Located only a few minutes from Kensington and 45 minutes from Charlottetown, our beautiful country home is located centrally in Prince County on beautiful Prince Edward Island. You are just minutes away from all amenities, including the finest Island golf courses, Island attractions and both of our gorgeous north and south shores which offer the most amazing beaches.
Drive down to the wharf to pick up the freshest seafood or the aqua farms for a big feed of mussels or find one of our many farmers markets for fresh island produce. You can also go on a beautiful drive down our winding country roads for exceptional photo opportunities.
Please enjoy your little welcome surprise and feel free to take in the hosts guidebooks and recommendations binder for insights into the island that may help plan your next outing. There you will find information regarding local businesses to support, surrounding community information, dining locales, grocery stores and entertainment options. There, you will also find the WIFI password so you may connect to all things internet.
The Garden Suite offers everything for you, your family and friends to enjoy the most luxurious and relaxing getaway. It is truly your home away from home. Enjoy our beautifully appointed rooms, with a coastal, nautical feel and beachy vibe & comfortable accommodations throughout. This is a creative endeavor in progress, so there will always be new information added as we expand to offer our guests the most well rounded experience.
If you love to cook, you will love our deluxe kitchen, complete with new appliances and basic pantry necessities to get you started. There is a ton of cupboard space to stock up on your favorite things, and please indulge yourselves in the large open concept kitchen and dining room that comes complete with a breakfast bar for extra seating. Perfect for family dinners or entertaining a dinner party with friends.
There is a four person jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, so you can soak away the long day of sightseeing or treat yourself to an evening of pampering with a spa-like ambience .
On cooler, not so beachy days or when weather is inclement, curl up near the fireplace with a cozy blanket and a good book or watch a favorite series on the Roku. Relax in the spacious living room and take in the beauty of the cathedral ceilings.
Both bedrooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and decorated and offer cozy queen beds for the most wonderful sleep at your home away from home. The host can offer extra blankets or pillows upon request or sheet change if necessary. Please inquire. Large, mirrored closets guarantee ample storage for your baggage, clothing and gear, so you can easily move in and feel at home. If additional bedding is needed for extra guests that have been pre-approved at the time of booking, an air mattress can be set up. Please inquire with the host at the time of booking if you require additional accommodations to make your stay exceptional. Additional guests on the booking can be accommodated with a fee.
Enjoy the large front patio with a canopy and beautiful ambient lighting for outdoor dining and evening entertaining or enjoy the sunrise over morning coffee and breakfast. To the back of the Garden Suite there is a second deck where you can grill and BBQ or sit and watch the gorgeous sunsets.
Just beyond the back deck and tree line is the "back forty", where you can run around and play games with the kids during the day, or enjoy the lovely firepit for your evening pleasure. If you have never gazed up into the darkness of an island night then you are in for something exquisite. Get cozy 'round the fir or on a pitch black night and look up to witness what appears to be the whole universe. For those escaping the city this will be a real treat as our night skies are perfect for stargazing!
Please inquire with the host if you require firewood as this would be an amenity that could be offered by the bundle for an additional fee.
Please enjoy the lovely pruned and landscaped yard and gardens that have been lovingly cared for by the owner and host. Take a walk around the property and take in the lushness of your surroundings and the vastness of the great maples. Your stay at the Garden Suite offers ultimate privacy from the surrounding homes, care of the gorgeous cedar hedge that lines the property. We hope you love the views as much as we do.
The hostess has a small doggo that you may see running around in the yard from time to time, so we caution our guests to please drive in and out of the horseshoe shaped driveway slowly and with care. There is ample parking in front of the Garden Suite and also a spot just off to one side of the home for your consideration.
