Downtown Portland is a 50-minute drive offering many restaurants and shops to browse. There are also several nearby beaches on the ocean.
Sebago Lake State Park is a 10 minute drive, with beautiful sandy beaches. The Long Lake causeway in Naples is also a 10 minute drive, with several attractions, including boat & jet ski rentals.
In the winter, it's a 30 minute drive to the Shawnee Peak ski resort. The annual Sebago Lake Ice Fishing Derby has a weigh station at Jordan's Store, 10 miles away. Snowmobile trails can accessed nearby as well.
It is approximately 135 miles and 2 1/2 hours from Boston, up I-95 to US-302. There are also flights into the Portland airport and rail service from Boston.
