Water park if the snow isn’t great or you want a summer break? Golf course for the summer? Indoor ice skating rink? Cross country skiing and snowshoe trails? Shops to practice a little “retail therapy”? Pampering spa? Yes, Jay Peak has all of this and more. Our two bedroom Jay Peak Village condo right on the Grammy Jay ski run offers you the chance to unpack your gear and let your car sit in its’ parking spot. With ski in/ski out you just put your skis on and head down to the Village Chair… no driving anywhere. When other activities beckon, head over to Tram Side or State Side on the shuttle. The shuttle picks you up right in the parking lot, and will bring you back to the parking lot when you’re done having fun. Once you are Tram Side, you can indulge in a little ice skating, cross country skiing, or snowshoeing. If you want to remember what summer is like, head to the huge water park — there are hot tubs interspersed with super fun water rides…. or you can try surfing!! There are restaurants at both Tram Side and State Side, as well as the golf clubhouse, lots of ways to not have to cook! If you’d like to cook, you’ll find the condo is well equipped — we happen to like to relax with some wine and cook dinner in after a day on the slopes. The floorplan of the second story condo is light and open with a great room consisting of kitchen with 3 bar stools, dining room (with seating for 8), and the living room. There are two bedrooms — the master with an en-suite full bath, and king size bed: the second bedroom with 2 twin beds (and room for air mattresses!) and adjacent full bath. A sleeper sofa (queen size) in the living room completes the sleeping arrangements. The ski locker on the first floor entryway porch provides convenient storage for your skis, poles, and snowshoes. We’ve stocked the condo with a few games, there is a flat screen TV (so you can watch your favorite sports teams while you are away from home or bring a movie for the DVD player), as well as space on the dining room table to put together a puzzle (one of our favorite activities after a day on the slopes!). Wifi internet access is also available. The gas fireplace in the living room keeps the condo quite toasty and there is a little porch off the dining room to relax on if you visit in the summer!
