Summary: I loved my stay here. It is convenient to the train station (including a path directly behind the Coop convenient store, but it's a little steep if you have luggage). The hotel itself is really nice, including the restaurant and breakfast area. My single room had a balcony that faced the train station below and had spectacular views of the mountain range on the other side of the valley. The room was small but had everything I needed. I will say that the shower was one of the smaller ones I experienced in Europe, but I am not a small person either. Back to the balcony - it was perfect to sit outside on after a busy day of hiking and enjoy the sun setting. With the Coop right there, it is easy to grab some drinks and snacks to enjoy while saving money. But the restaurant is also a great option. One night I felt like a basic pizza, and then the next I got the traditional rosti. Both were winners. And then the breakfast is fantastic. Incredible spread of food and even more spectacular views. I love Lauterbrunnen and would easily stay here again.
