Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location was excellent, incredibly convenient, since it's at Heeren St in the Jonker area. The staff at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. Parts of the interior had been freshly painted, which shows maintenance work happens from time to time... always a good sign. And the decorations of the hotel added to the classically Melakan feel. Very appropriate

Negative: Room was slightly crammed (though this is reasonable for the price paid). But there were water stains on the ceiling. Over time, mold / fungus could grow there, which could be a hygiene problem / health hazard. It's not yet a serious issue, but should look into it before it becomes serious.

Summary: Convenient but small room, commensurate with what we pay for
